How to use Create Zalgo Numbers

  1. 1. Paste your numbers. Enter the numbers you want distorted, for example 12345, into the input pane.
  2. 2. Set Intensity and mark positions. Choose how heavy the effect is with Intensity, and toggle Marks above, Marks through and Marks below to control which combining marks pile onto each digit.
  3. 3. Copy the zalgo numbers. Copy the distorted result from the output pane into a chat message, social post or anywhere you want the digits to look glitched and corrupted.

When to use Create Zalgo Numbers

Create Zalgo Numbers stacks combining Unicode marks onto digits to give a number that chaotic, corrupted horror-text look often called zalgo text. Every run randomizes the marks, so no two outputs from the same input look identical.

  • Adding a glitch effect to a score or countdown. A horror-themed game or Halloween post wants a score or number to look unsettling and distorted rather than displaying as a plain, clean digit.
  • Posting a cursed-looking number in a Discord server. You want a number, like a countdown or a stat, to visually match a chaotic or spooky server theme when posted in chat.
  • Testing how a UI handles combining marks. You're checking whether a text field, notification or rendering pipeline breaks or overflows when a numeric string carries a heavy load of combining Unicode marks.
  • Making a novelty birthday or anniversary number. You want a fun, over-the-top corrupted version of a meaningful number, like an age or a year, for a joke card or social post.

About the Create Zalgo Numbers tool

Create Zalgo Numbers runs as plain JavaScript in your browser tab, with no server behind it. Let Zalgo destroy your numbers. Whatever you put in stays on your device from start to finish.

The tool is part of EditSafely's Number Tools section, 194 single-purpose utilities built around the same idea: open the page, get the result, keep your data to yourself.

You can shape the output with 4 settings, including Intensity, Marks above, Marks through and Marks below, and the result refreshes the moment you change one. A worked example further down the page shows exactly what the tool produces for a real input.

That local-first design has practical benefits beyond privacy. The tool keeps working on a flaky connection once the page has loaded, results are instant because nothing round-trips to a server, and it is safe to use with confidential material.

Frequently asked questions

Does Create Zalgo Numbers cost anything?

Yes, it is completely free. All 2,658 tools on EditSafely work without an account, a subscription or usage limits.

Is it safe to paste sensitive or confidential data?

No data leaves your device. The whole tool is JavaScript that runs inside your browser tab, so there is no upload, no server-side processing and no log of what you did. If you disconnect from the internet after the page loads, it keeps working.

How much text can I process at once?

There is no fixed limit. Because the work happens on your own device rather than on a shared server, the practical ceiling is your machine's memory, which comfortably handles inputs far larger than typical online tools allow.

Do I need to sign up or install anything?

Nothing to install and no account needed. Open the page in any up-to-date browser, including on a phone or tablet, and the tool is ready.

How do I use the result?

The output panel has a one-click copy button, and you can keep refining the input while you work; the result updates in place as you type.
