How to use Crop PDF Pages

  1. 1. Load the PDF and pick a page. Drop your document into the workspace and select the page to crop, using the thumbnail grid to preview each one first.
  2. 2. Draw the crop rectangle. Drag a box over the area you want to keep. Everything outside that rectangle gets discarded from the page.
  3. 3. Decide whether to apply it everywhere. Toggle Apply to all pages if every page shares the same layout and should be cropped identically, or leave it off to crop just the one page.
  4. 4. Download the cropped PDF. Generate and save the file. The pages now show only the region you selected, with everything outside it removed.

When to use Crop PDF Pages

Crop PDF Pages trims page edges down to a rectangle you draw by hand, giving you full control over exactly what stays and what gets cut. It handles the general cropping case that automatic margin detection cannot, like removing a specific sidebar or header.

  • Removing a scanner's black edge. A book scanned on a flatbed scanner picked up a black border around the actual page. Drawing a crop box just inside that border removes it cleanly across every page.
  • Cutting a header banner off every page. A downloaded PDF repeats an ad banner across the top of every page. Cropping it out with Apply to all pages leaves only the actual content below.
  • Isolating one region of a large diagram. A single large diagram spans a whole page but only one corner is relevant to share. Cropping to just that region produces a focused, standalone excerpt.

About the Crop PDF Pages tool

Crop PDF Pages does its work locally, right in the browser. Trim page edges down to a rectangle you draw. There is no upload step, no queue and no account, and your data never travels over the network.

It belongs to the PDF Tools collection on EditSafely, a set of 92 small, focused PDF utilities that share the same instant, private workspace.

You can shape the output with the Apply to all pages setting, and the result refreshes the moment you change it. The finished file is put together in browser memory and saved with the Download button, so it never touches a server on the way to your disk.

Running locally also makes the tool fast and dependable: results appear as you type or drop a file, there is no server outage that can take it down mid-task, and confidential data can be processed without a second thought.
